Amanda Hart is an up and coming name to know, she is a multi-award winning dancer who has won many competitions from the East Coast to the West Coast. Her exquisite technique and musical interpretation thrills audiences. She is a professional bellydancer living in Kansas City, and is a featured dancer in 1001 Arabian Nights Belly Dance Show, KC Fringefest, and Kansas City Renaissance Festival. Amanda is a dedicated student of Middle Eastern dance and culture, traveling throughout the United States to participate in renowned workshops and completing Sahra Saeda’s Journey Through Egypt 1 & 2.
Jo became a certified ITS instructor in 2015, when she realized one of her big goals was to help share the joy and the confidence that ITS brings on the east coast. She continues her ITS training as often as she is able with Amy Sigil, creator of Improvisational Tribal Style. Jo is also the director of The Lunachix, spreading troupe love and hijinx since 2013. Jo is the Co-owner of the Studio "Belly Set Go!", located in central NY which specializes in bellydance and bringing other dance styles (Heels! Hooping! Vogue! Burlesque!) to the area. Jo's other main training is in the Jill Parker format and she is honored to work with Jill and co-produce her training program: Alchemy: the science, craft, and sorcery of bellydance.
Under a Bellydance Moon is a one day workshop event that brings talented teachers to Charlotte, and allows "up and coming" stars to build their workshop resume. I work in partnership with Nadira - producer of the East Coast Classic Bellydance Festival to bring competition winners and other talented dancers to the event.
Our instructors may come with significant performance, class instructor and competition experience - but through this event Nadira and I offer mentorship and guidance for becoming the best workshop instructor they can be.
