A Legend is Coming to the Area and the Closet Sale continues!

I really felt compelled to share this information for an upcoming "event".   I do feel this is truly an event and not just another dance workshop.  The Washington Area Middle Eastern Dance Association (WAMEDA)  is bringing a living legend to the D.C. area for 2 days - September 11 and 12, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Greenbelt, MD.     If you are a dancer, writer, artist or historian of any kind please consider attending this special event.  
 
Helena Vlahos - a belly dancer from the golden age,  and in the Guiness Book of World Records for "Abdominal dexterity",  is coming to teach and perform from her base in Phoenix Arizona.  Starting her professional career in 1965, she continues to teach and perform, often in Las Vegas.   She is a master teacher, compassionate instructor, performer and often described as "one of the nicest people you will ever have the fortune to meet".   
 
Please, please don\\\'t miss this opportunity.  Her isolations are legendary, her stories of the life of a dancer through the past 4 decades are priceless.   Information for signing up and payment are available on WAMEDA website.  Even if you can only come out to the show - this legend will be performing two sets.

Cleaning out the Belly Dance Closet!    I am a pack rat.   I have held on to costumes and "stuff" for years that I no longer wear.    I have some never worn costumes,  used costumes, skirts, harem pants, shoes, etc....  anyone interested and coming over to my place in Reston VA to look through my collection please contact me.  I have had some dancers come over already - and all have left with smiles on their faces.   This is great stuff - vintage - new - priced to sell.
